Police are looking for suspects in two separate incidents tonight.

At approximately 8 pm,  this evening police responded to  a 911 call to an apartment complex on Charlotte Lane in Halifax. Police meet a 26 year old female victim who had been sprayed in the face with a sensory irritant. It was learned that a white male approximately 6 feet tall wearing a red hoddie, was buzzed into the apartment complex by another tenant. The male knocked on the victims  apartment door, when she opened it slightly he forced his way in. Once inside the dwelling the suspect sprayed her in the face with the irritant. The suspect then fled not taking anything. Halifax Regional Police are reviewing security camera footage at this time in an attempt to identify the suspect.
 
The victim was treated at the scene by EHS and was released at the scene.

At approximately 750 pm, this evening police responded to a 911 call to the 7000 block of Andrew Street in Halifax. There they were meet by 43 year old male who was suffering from a wound to his head. It was learned that his home was broken into by two males. One male had a hand gun the other was carrying a hammer, the male suspect with the hammer struck the victim over the head. The suspects, then grabbed a quantity of cash and fled. In their effort to flee the area in a vehicle, they had to abandon the vehicle and escape on foot. The victim was taken to the QEII for treatment, his injuries are not considered life threatening. Police seized the vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.
 
suspect descriptions: 1. male black, 5'6", 180 lbs, some facial hair, wearing blue jeans , blue jacket, grey sweater, possibly carrying a grocery bag and firearm
                               2. male white, blond hair, dark coloured jeans no further descriptors
