At 3:34 am, we responded to a break and enter call, the 1200 block of South Park St. Halifax, a female victim was asleep, she woke up and there was a male rummaging through her belongings in her bedroom, when she woke up he left the apartment, missing was her purse and personal identification. 

The woman was not injured during this incident. The suspect was described as an older white male, wearing a winter hat, khaki pants and a scarf.  While searching the area for the suspect, the victims purse was located in the vicinity of the apartment and a male suspect was located hiding under a staircase. A forty five year old male is currently in police custody, the investigation is continuing at this time.
