Yarmouth Town RCMP investigate armed robbery, Yarmouth, N.S.

Yarmouth Town RCMP are investigating an armed robbery that occurred earlier at the Red Knight on Starrs Road.

At approximately 8:40 a.m. this morning, a lone male wearing a mask entered the Red Knight club with a weapon and demanded cash from a staff member.

An undisclosed amount of cash was given to the suspect who then left the premises. It is unknown whether the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle.

The suspect is described as approximately 5’5′ and heavy set. He was wearing a black ski mask which had two eye-hole openings, a dark green jacket with a dark blue liner, black gloves, blue jeans, and white sneakers with black trim. No one was injured during the incident.

Yarmouth Town RCMP, with assistance from Yarmouth Rural RCMP, Police Dog Services, and the Street Crime Enforcement Unit are continuing the investigation. Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to call Yarmouth Town RCMP at (902) 742-8777 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
