Youth Complaint results in weapons charges

From Halifax Police:
At 11:00 pm East Patrol members responded to the area of Bell lake to a report of youth drinking in the woods.  One of the intoxicated youths attempted to avoid responding officers and was detained in the area of Dorothia Dr. and Topsail Blvd.  Upon searching the youth a unloaded handgun was located in his backpack.
A 16 year old male was arrested without incident and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial court this morning facing 4 weapon related offences and breach of an undertaking.
