Traffic stop results in weapons charges

From Halifax Police: 
At 5:45 pm members of the East Quick Response Unit observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of the 0-100 block of Pinecrest Drive.  A traffic stop was initiated and 3 adults were taken into custody without incident. A 25 year old Dartmouth male was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun. He was held in police custody overnight and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial court this morning facing 9 weapons related offences and 1 breach of probation order. Two other occupants of the vehicle were released without charges.
