Halifax Regional Police is asking for the public’s help with respect
to a number of incidents in Dartmouth that may be connected.

Over the last two weeks there have been a number of incidents of
mischief in the Nantucket Avenue and Slayter Street areas. Approximately
two weeks ago a number of vehicles’ tires were slashed on Slayter
Street. A port-a-pottie was also set on fire in that area. Over the
weekend a number of vehicles were struck with rocks as they travelled
along Nantucket Avenue. A short while later a number of homes in the
Slayter Street area had their doors kicked in. At this time there is no
indication that the homes were entered, rather these were just senseless
acts.

Based on some limited information and the types of crimes occurring
police believe that a group of youths is responsible and that at least
some of these incidents are connected. Anyone with information about
these incidents is asked to contact police at 490-5016. Anonymous tips
can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS
(8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or
texting a tip – Tip 202 + your message to 274637.
