One of the best ways to save both the environment and my budget was to save on household cleaners. I have written before about using vinegar and lemons both as cleaning agents. Today as we think of ways to save I wanted to share some recipes that make sense and save cents as well.
A Great All Purpose Cleaner
- one part water
- one part white vinegar
A Good Non Abrasive Cleaner
- one part lemon juice
- one part baking soda
Make a paste and use and sponge to clean.
Carpet Cleaner
Shake a little baking soda on your carpet. Let sit 30 minutes and vacuum.
Furniture Polish
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup lemon juice
Mix and polish with a soft microfiber cloth
All Purpose Floor Cleaner
1/2 vinegar
1 gallon of water
Mix and damp mop floors
Wood Floor Cleaner
Just a little dish soap
Warm water
Now do you have any favorite recipes for homemade cleaners, care to share?
