Halifax District RCMP and the GIS Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a weapons complaint on Sackville Cross Road which has resulted in the arrest of one male.
This morning at 11:00 a.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a complaint from a female who advised officers she had attended a residence on Sackville Cross Road and had a gun pointed at her. RCMP officers assisted by Halifax Regional Police(HRP) K9 Section surrounded the residence and blocked off a portion of Sackville Cross Road for a short period of time. Shortly thereafter a 40-year-old man surrendered to police and was taken into custody. The individuals involved are known to each other and this was not a random act. There was no danger to the public during this incident.
Police continue to investigate.
