The smiles could brighten a galaxy as Cops and Kids took to the HSC!

The 15th annual CopShop, presented by Halifax Shopping Centre and Halifax Regional Police (HRP), took place at Halifax Shopping Centre.

For the event, 69 HRP officers and employees became personal shoppers to 54 local children as they set out for a special shopping spree.

Each child received a $200 gift card generously donated by Halifax Shopping Centre, a stocking filled with goodies and a new winter coat from Sport Chek.

In the spirit of giving, Halifax Shopping Centre also gave each shopping duo a $10 gift card to help pay it forward; the CopShop participant also purchased a gift for a child the same age, which the mall will  donate to the Salvation Army Toy Drive.
