In February, regional council committed $100,000 for a study on extending central sewer and water to Purcell’s Cove. The study will focus on Wenlock Grove to Oceanview Drive, where there is the highest percentage of residents who want the service. The study is not yet complete. Chebucto Community Council will appoint a community steering committee, and will soon be looking for residents to sit on the committee. The committee will work with HRM on the study, and when the study is complete it will go before community council and regional council.
