At approximately 1:53 am members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a theft of motor vehicle in progress in the Jackson Rd area of Dartmouth.
The caller stated three parties were attempting to steal her truck from the parking lot. The victim yelled at the subjects who then fled on foot. Several units responded into the area and contained it and within 10 minutes had three parties in custody. The accused are all from Dartmouth, a 22 year old male, a 19 year old male and an 18 year old male will be facing charges of theft of motor vehicle – the 19 year old will face an additional breach of probation charge. All have been released and will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court in April.
