Colchester County RCMP and the Northeast Nova Major Crimes Unit are releasing the cause of death in the homicide investigation of Cheryl Thompson.

An autopsy performed earlier today determined that Cheryl Thompson died as a result of strangulation. RCMP can confirm that no additional suspects are being sought in relation to her death.

The investigation is continuing.
