RCMP are releasing the name of the man who died after a motor vehicle collision in Lower Northfield.

Peter Bentley, 37, from Lower Northfield died when the vehicle he was driving collided with a SUV going southbound.

The 59-year-old female driver of the SUV was transported to the QEII in Halifax by EHs Lifeflight. She sustained serious injuries.

Northfield Road has been re-opened to traffic. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
