Alderney Ferry Reduced to 30-minute Service

  Release: (Tuesday, September 13, 2011) Halifax, NS - Metro Transit passengers are advised that the Alderney Ferry will be reduced to 30-minute weekday service effective Monday, September 19, to accommodate required maintenance on one of the vessels as per Transport Canada regulations.

(Tuesday, September 13, 2011) Halifax, NS – Metro Transit passengers
are advised that the Alderney Ferry will be reduced to 30-minute weekday
service effective Monday, September 19, to accommodate required
maintenance on one of the vessels as per Transport Canada regulations.
It is anticipated that the vessel will be out of service for several
weeks; passengers will be advised as soon as the vessel is ready to be
put back into service.
 
Beginning Monday, September 19, the weekday Alderney Ferry service will
be as follows:
 
6:30 am – 11:45 pm (every 30 minutes)
 
The Alderney Ferry will depart on the :30 and :00, and the Halifax
Ferry will depart on the :15 and :45 of the hour.
 
The Woodside Ferry will continue to operate on its regular schedule.
