Bedford Blues baseball registration

bedford-blues-baseball-logoBedford recreational teams play in leagues with other teams from Fall River and Sackville primarily. In certain divisions we sometimes also play with teams from the Hammonds Plains and St. Margaret’s Bay associations.  Locally, the mosquito division mainly uses Meadowbrook.

Walk-in Registration is over but the league is still accepting mail-in registration. Please send completed registration form and payment to:

The registration deadline to attend rep try-outs was April 6th. Rep try-outs will begin indoors in mid-April. The schedule is available on our website at www.bedfordminorbaseball.ca. A $15 fee must be paid at the first session. This fee will cover the facility rental.

After April 6th, mail-in registration will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis for the recreational levels (including Squirt and Rookie) as long as space remains. After May 15th, a $20 late fee applies. A $25 charge applies to cheques returned as NSF.

In order to get a refund you must contact the Registrar at mcintyrb@accesswave.ca or 835-7578, no later than June 15th. There is a $25 non-refundable amount included in the registration fee. No refunds after June 15th.

The Rookie and Squirt divisions play at Meadowbrook field (behind Basinview School); Rookie is Mondays and Wednesdays, and Squirt is Tuesdays and Thursdays. Recreational teams (House league), for Mosquito age and older, play in a league with teams from Sackville and Fall River, and perhaps from Hammonds Plains and St. Margaret’s Bay as well. The Bedford Mosquito teams use Meadowbrook field and occasionally Joan Lenihan Memorial Field as their home field. The Pee-Wee and Bantam teams play at Joan Lenihan and Robert Lenihan (Range Park). The recreational leagues start in early June and run until mid-September. Teams usually play 2 games per week, generally between Sunday and Thursday.

At the rep level, Bedford is combined with Fall River and Sackville to form the Tri-County Baseball Association. Depending on the age group, home games are played in any of the three areas.
