Cancellation of curbside solid waste collection and facility closures on Wednesday, Jan. 8

Curbside collection of garbage, organics, and recyclables in areas normally scheduled for pickup on Wednesday, Jan. 8, is cancelled due to the impending winter storm.

There will be allowance for double the garbage limits during the next collection cycle on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

Residents are asked to not place materials curbside for collection tomorrow.

The municipality would also like to advise the public and commercial solid waste haulers the following facilities will be closed on Wednesday:

  • The materials recycling facility at 20 Horseshoe Lake Dr.
  • The composting facilities at 80 Gloria McCluskey Ave. in Burnside and 61 Evergreen Place in Goodwood
