Charges after break-in at Lower Water Street business

Two individuals were recently charged by Halifax police in connection with a couple of break-ins that occurred this month.

In the early hours of December 11, just before 4:35 a.m., police responded to a call about an active break-in at a business on Lower Water Street. As officers arrived, they spotted two people fleeing the scene. A brief foot pursuit ensued, leading to the arrest of both suspects.

Further investigation revealed that these two were also responsible for a previous break-in at the same business, reported on December 4.

Ibrahim Alnaasan, aged 22, and a 16-year-old were slated to appear in Halifax provincial court yesterday, facing charges that include two counts of mischief related to property damage, possession of break-in tools, and break and enter.
