Dartmouth Resident Faces Child Pornography Charges

A man faces charges after a search today in Dartmouth by the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.

Earlier today, ICE investigators conducted a search of an apartment in the 0-100 block of Elmwood Avenue. Officers arrested a suspect at the scene and seized computer equipment.

Twenty-three-year-old Zachary Gordon Gardiner of Dartmouth is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on July 28 to face charges of: possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography, distribution of child pornography, invitation to sexual touching and, luring of a child to facilitate sexual touching. He was released from custody under conditions to: not communicate with children under the age of 16, not possess a device able to access the internet and, not be within 50 meters of a place known to be frequented by children.
