Halifax Resident Faces Child Pornography Charges

A Halifax man faces charges after a search yesterday in Halifax by the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. 

A Halifax man faces charges after a search yesterday in Halifax by the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. 

Early yesterday morning, ICE investigators conducted a search of a residence in the 2000 block of Creighton Street. Officers arrested a suspect at the scene and seized computer equipment.

Sixty-five-year-old William Gordon Lewis is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on July 28 to face charges of: possession of child pornography and, accessing child pornography. He was released from custody under conditions to: not communicate with children under the age of 16, not possess a device able to access the internet and, not be within 50 meters of a place known to be frequented by children.
