Over the last few hours, temperatures have fallen and roadways in HRM have become slippery. Partners in Policing are advising motorists to use caution out on the roads today, especially the 100 series highways due to icy road conditions.

Partners in Policing are advising motorists to use caution out on the roads today, especially the 100 series highways due to icy road conditions.

Police have responded to several motor vehicle collisions this morning.

Police would also like to remind the motoring public to adjust their driving habits and be mindful in the change of road conditions over the day. In order to safely arrive at your destination, please slow down, allow extra time to reach your destination and allow extra stopping distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. Drivers are also asked to be alert to emergency personnel, reduce your speed and move over to another lane if available.
