Officers with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a home invasion that occurred in Halifax this afternoon.
At 1:27 p.m. police responded to the 0-100 block of Adelaide Avenue and were advised that a man had entered a residence by kicking in the front door and assaulted the 38-year-old male occupant. The victim was able to chase the suspect out of the house and he fled the area in a newer model 4-door bluish-grey BMW sedan that was driven by another man. The victim was treated at the scene for a non-life threatening injury.
This is not believed to be a random incident and police are looking for the public’s help in identifying the man and/or vehicle. The suspect is described as a white man, 20 to 25-years-old, approximately 5’6” and 175 lbs., with a shaved head, wearing a red and black baseball hat, grey hoodie, black jeans and the bottom half of his face covered. The driver of the car is described as a white male. The investigation into this matter is on-going.
Police do not believe this to be a random act and the investigation is continuing.
