HRP Investigate Afternoon Home Invasion

Officers with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a home invasion that occurred in Halifax this afternoon.
At 1:27 p.m. police responded to the 0-100 block of Adelaide Avenue and were advised that a man had entered a residence by kicking in the front door and assaulted the 38-year-old male occupant.  The victim was able to chase the suspect out of the house and he fled the area in a newer model 4-door bluish-grey BMW sedan that was driven by another man.  The victim was treated at the scene for a non-life threatening injury.
This is not believed to be a random incident and police are looking for the public’s help in identifying the man and/or vehicle. The suspect is described as a white man, 20 to 25-years-old, approximately 5’6” and 175 lbs., with a shaved head, wearing a red and black baseball hat, grey hoodie, black jeans and the bottom half of his face covered. The driver of the car is described as a white male. The investigation into this matter is on-going.
Police do not believe this to be a random act and the investigation is continuing. Officers are looking to speak with anyone who may have any knowledge of this incident and ask that they contact Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020.
