Job Hunting in Toronto – The Hunt Begins

Job Hunting in Toronto – The Hunt Begins

My new office for my job hunt.

I started 2013 with a job and 3 words: brave, trust, habit.

Today I got up and went to work, and before I could even punch the time clock, my boss asked for my time, and I was laid off. It was a shock to my system. I was not alone in being laid off, others were as well. Times are tough still for many companies and many CEO’s have to make tough calls even if they love the staff under them.

So where does this leave me?

As the title of my post states, I am job hunting in Toronto, although if the perfect job was open in another part of Canada I would be open to moving.

So what is my job hunting plan?

I have already updated my LinkedIn profile and later today my resume will be reworked.

I will need my 3 words as I hunt as well.

I will need to be brave, and face this newest change. I will need to trust in my own abilities and know that I have a wonderful support system that have my back, and I will have good work habits because we all know that looking for a job is a full time job.

So I am putting this out there, do you know someone hiring?

What am I looking for?

For the last year I work exclusively in the Social Media realm, but I am experienced in B to B sales, customer service, and am a great trainer.

Let me know if you have any job hunting tips that have worked for you, and if you are looking for work let me know and as I search for myself I will keep an eye open for you as well.
