At about 2:30pm a man was launching his boat at the boat ramp at Convoy Run Park in Bedford.

After getting the boat off the trailer his truck and trailer slid into the water on slippery seaweed.

The truck was completely submerged and divers were called in to hook a tow cable to the truck to have the vehicle removed form the basin.

The total damage is estimated to be in excess of $30,000. There were no injuries.
