Motorcycle crash claims one life, Weston, N.S.

Kings District RCMP is investigating a motorcycle crash that claimed the life of a 52-year-old man.

Shortly after 11:30 a.m. this morning, RCMP and Emergency Health Services (EHS) responded to a single vehicle motorcycle crash on Brooklyn St.

in Weston. Preliminary investigation determined that the rider was traveling westbound when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the ditch. The Annapolis County man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Brooklyn Street is closed in both directions between Long Point Rd. and Chute Rd. RCMP expects the road to remain closed for approximately two hours. An RCMP collision analyst is assisting with the investigation which is continuing. The name of the victim will not be released.
