Municipal facilities open to the public for Doors Open Halifax, June 2 & 3

The Halifax Regional Municipality is pleased to once again participate and support Doors Open Halifax, taking place on Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Approximately 30 venues are participating in this year’s event where buildings of architectural, historical and cultural significance open their doors to the public for free, and invite them to view interiors that are not usually accessible.

Three municipality facilities are participating this year:

  • Halifax City Hall, 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax
    • June 2 & 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • City Hall staff will be conducting regular tours of the building both days.
  • Halifax Greenhouses, 5711 Sackville Street, Halifax
    • June 2, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Facility staff will be on site to answer questions.
  • Materials Recovery Facility, 20 Horseshoe Lake Drive, Bayers Lake Business Park
    • June 2, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Facility employees will be offering 15-minute guided tours to groups of 10–20 people.
