Natal Day Weekend Transit Service

  Release: (Wednesday, July 27, 2011) Halifax, NS - Metro Transit is pleased to offer enhanced ferry service throughout the Natal Day weekend, beginning on Thursday, July 28, to accommodate citizens attending various Natal Day weekend events. Additionally, a number of detours are required throughout the weekend to accommodate Natal Day celebrations, Macdonald Bridge closures and the Natal Day Parade. Metro Transit passengers should anticipate some delays in service throughout the weekend.

Day weekend events. Additionally, a number of detours are required

should anticipate some delays in service throughout the weekend.
 
Alderney Ferry Service
 
Thursday, July 28:
6:30 am – 9:00 am (every 15 minutes)
9:00 am – 12:00 pm (every 30 minutes)
12:00 pm – 1:00 am (every 15 minutes)*
 
Friday, July 29:
Regular Schedule
 
Saturday, July 30:
6:30 am – 3:00 pm (every 30 minutes)
3:00 pm – 1:00 am (every 15 minutes)*
 
Sunday, July 31:
10:30 am – 1:00 am (every 30 minutes)*
 
Monday, August 1:
Holiday Schedule
 
*The last ferry will depart the Halifax Ferry Terminal at 12:45 am.
 
The Woodside Ferry will operate on its regular schedule; as such there
will be no Woodside Ferry service on the holiday, Monday, August 1.
 
 
BUS SERVICE
A number of detours will be required over the Natal Day weekend to
accommodate Natal Day celebrations and Macdonald Bridge closures.

contacting the HRM Call Centre at 490.4000. Otherwise, bus service will
be as follows:

*Conventional and Access-A-Bus will operate on holiday service
schedules; MetroLink, MetroX, and Community Transit will not be in
service as per the regular schedule.
