PB & J Kinda Morning

The winner of the Honeybar contest has been announced, check out the post below this one for all the details.  

It’s been awhile since we had a good bowl of oats.  This morning’s combo was peanut butter & jam.  Into the pot went 1.5c cup UVAB, 2/3c oats and 1/2 chopped banana.  No flax cuz hubby didn’t grind anymore when he finished the container off. :( These amounts serve 2.
Topped with the remaining chopped banana, 1/2 tbsp hulled hemp seed, sprinkle of sliced almonds, 1 tbsp of peanut butter & a generous dollop of Crofter’s Superfruit Spread Europe. “Pomegranates and black currants blended with red grapes and morello cherries.”

Oats always hold me over so well.  We ate around 6am and I didn’t even need a snack until well after 10am.

On my lunch break I went home to pick up few things and then headed to the post office to mail Janna’s package. Finally.  My end of the cross border food exchange is officially complete.  Can’t wait get see what she sends me!   :) 

Speaking of mail, there were many fun surprises waiting for me today including the Olympic mittens that I won from Bye Bye Fat Pants!  She even sent along a cute card too.  Thanks again Crystal.

I’m secretly kinda hoping tomorrow’s a bit chilly just so that I have the opportunity to show these off. 😉 Hehe okay, not really because…..

it’s sunny and warm again today!!!  I might have to tuck the mittens away for next year.  I can’t tell you guys how much the sun affects my mood.

I celebrated the beautiful weather with another barbeque for Supper.  Seasoned pork loin.  I had half of the bigger piece, which was about 3oz.

With a side of parsnip fries. OMG the evoo, honey, cinnamon, pepper combo is A.MAZ.ING.  This was my first making them and I’m impressed.  

Along with fried rice.  Brown rice, low sodium soy sauce, evoo, diced shallot, egg & chives.

Was the perfect amount of Supper.  Shoulda finished up the bottle of white that was in the fridge though.  But I hate drinking (even if it’s just wine) if I’m planning to exercise because it makes me not want to. hehe.

Yup, you heard me.  I’ve got major plans to spend some QT with the elliptical during Gossip Girl tonight.  It’s finally back, love that show!
