On Saturday May 18, 2019 at approximately 1:23 p.m. police attended the Scotia Bank at 93 Portland St. in Dartmouth for a report of a robbery at the ATM. The female victim was getting money from the ATM when she was approached by a female suspect who asked for money for a taxi. The female victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and the female suspect then demanded more money. The female suspect then began pushing the victim. The female suspect also indicated there was a weapon in a car parked outside the bank.
No weapons were seen by the victim.
The female then fled the bank with a male driver in a white older model vehicle.
The female suspect was described as a black female in her late 20’s, small build and around 5’4” tall, appeared to be pregnant wearing a black zip up hoodie with multi-colour patterned tights. The male driver was described as a male in his 20’s wearing a hoodie with the hood up.
The female victim did not report any injuries.
