Police investigate vehicle/pedestrian collision, St. Margaret’s Bay Road, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP responded to a vehicle/pedestrian collision sending a man and toddler to hospital.

On Thursday, December 18th, at approximately 5:33 p.m., Halifax District RCMP and Emergency Health Services attended the scene of a motor vehicle collision involving pedestrians in the Tim Horton’s parking lot on
St.

Margaret’s Bay Road. Preliminary investigation determined a 30-year-old man from Hubbards was walking through the parking lot carrying a small child, also from Hubbards, when a vehicle driven by a 69-year-old man from St. Margaret’s Bay Road collided with the pedestrians as he slowly proceeded out of the parking lot.

Both the man and toddler were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The exact cause of the collision remains under investigation and until such time, a decision on charges cannot be made.
