Police are investigating an attempted murder where shots were fired at a vehicle.
On Saturday, August 17th at 11:15 p.m., Tantallon RCMP received a complaint of fireworks or shots being fired in the area of Brentwood Avenue and St.
Margarets Bay Road, in Timberlea. RCMP responded and with the assistance of the K9 unit located bullet casings in the area. Police did not locate any victims or witnesses to the incident.
On August 18th, a call was received from the owner of a truck reporting their truck had been struck by bullets. It was determined there was a verbal dispute between an occupant of the truck and another person that resulted in a number of shots being fired.
The RCMP/HRP General Investigation Section (GIS) is currently investigating this matter and conducting a number of interviews in relation to this incident. No one was injured and based on the investigation to date, police do not believe this was a random act.
