Police investigating vandalism over the long weekend

Tuesday, May 25, 2010 Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), N.S…. Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Halifax District are investigating eight acts of vandalism over the long weekend.

Overnight on May 22nd and the early morning of the 23rd several acts of vandalism occurred.  On Caldwell Road around the 600 block four vehicles were damaged, one had its door dented by being kicked and three others had their mirrors torn off.  On Cedar Cres and Allison Drive two vehicles had paint poured onto them and the vehicle at Cedar Cres also had its mirror tore off.  On Sackville Drive a vehicle was damaged by being keyed and a BobCat located at a residence on Carter Road in Porters Lake had it fuel bowl knocked off.  The owners discovered the fuel bowl knocked off and were able to contain the diesel fuel that was leaking from the BobCat.
