Police Lay Charges After Church Break-in

Police have laid charges against two youths following a break-in at a church.

On April 30, police were called to Rock Church on Sackville Dr. following a break-in that had occurred during the previous evening. A pair of custom earbuds and an iPad were stolen. The church had video surveillance and officers were able to identify the two youths who were responsible. The youths gained entry via an unlocked door.

Two youths, a 16-year-old female and a 14-year-old male, both from Lower Sackville, were arrested yesterday at their homes. Both have been charged with Break, Enter and Theft, and the 14-year-old is also charged with Breach of Probation. They are appearing in Halifax Provincial Court today.
