(Found) Police searching for escaped high risk offender

**** Update : 35-year old Joshua James Turner was arrested at​ 2:40 p.m. in​ Dartmouth without incident​ after he had escaping custody earlier today.

Halifax Regional Police would like to thank media and members of the public for their assistance in helping create awareness.

Police searching for escaped high risk offender
Today, May 26, at approximately​ 9 a.m.,​ Halifax Regional Police received information that Joshua James Turner, 35, escaped from the Jamieson Community Correctional Center located on Morris Drive in Dartmouth.​ ​
Mr. Turner is deemed a high risk offender relating to sexual and violent offences.​ He is described as a white male,​ 5’10”, 150lbs with brown hair, hazel eyes and black framed thick rim glasses.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket with “Bum” in white letters on the back, dark pants and a black baseball cap.​ He was last observed in the area of Windmill Road by​ Magazine Hill.​ Police are currently​ searching for him.​ ​
If anyone has any information regarding him, or they observed anyone fitting his description please do not approach and call 911.​
