Premier Announces Executive Leadership Changes

Premier Stephen McNeil today, Oct. 24, announced changes to the deputy minister management team. All changes will take effect immediately.

— Frances Martin, associate deputy minister of the Department of Health and Wellness, becomes acting deputy minister and will also assume acting deputy responsibilities for the Department of Seniors
— Frank Dunn, associate deputy minister of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, becomes acting deputy minister
— Dan McDougall, associate deputy minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations, becomes acting deputy minister

“These acting appointments will ensure continuity, and strong leadership as minsters are brought up to speed in their new portfolios,” said Premier McNeil.

The appointments will remain until new deputy ministers are appointed.
