RCMP charges Bridgewater man for multiple break and enters, Lunenburg County, N.S.

Lunenburg District RCMP has charged a Bridgewater man with several residential break and enters. On Wednesday at approximately 5:15 p.m., Lunenburg District RCMP, with the assistance of the South Shore Street Crime Enforcement Unit, RCMP Police Dog Unit and the Lunenburg District General Investigation Section, arrested a 37-year-old man at a residential break and enter in progress near Conquerall.

On Wednesday at approximately 5:15 p.m., Lunenburg District RCMP, with the assistance of the South Shore Street Crime Enforcement Unit, RCMP Police Dog Unit and the Lunenburg District General Investigation Section, arrested a 37-year-old man at a residential break and enter in progress near Conquerall.

The arrest was as a result of an ongoing investigation into break-ins throughout the western end of Lunenburg County since June 1st, 2015.

Robert William Wells of Bridgewater has been charged with 16 counts of Break and Enter, 16 counts of Failing to Comply with a Recognizance, two counts of Possession of Break and Enter Tools, one count of Possession of Stolen Property and one count of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. The accused, who was remanded into custody, is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court for a Bail Hearing on July 15, 2015.

The investigation is continuing and further charges are anticipated.
