RCMP make arrests after vandalism to skateboard park in Yarmouth, Yarmouth, N.S.

Yarmouth Town RCMP have arrested two people responsible for damage to a skate park in Yarmouth.

On the evening of Tuesday, October 28th, 2014, individuals threw cans of paint onto the skateboard park structures and the surrounding area.

The skateboard park is owned and managed by the Town of Yarmouth who posted a video from the skateboard park web cam to the Town’s Facebook page. As a result of the posting, citizens identified the individuals in the video.

On Saturday November 1st, 2014, RCMP arrested a 19-year-old female and a 14-year-old male from Yarmouth. Both are facing charges of Mischief under $5000 and will appear in Yarmouth Provincial/Youth Court at a later date and have been released on conditions.

Yarmouth Town RCMP would like to thank the public for coming forward and quickly identifying those responsible for the damage.
