RCMP seize drugs and charge three youths, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), N.S.

Halifax RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) have laid drug charges following a traffic stop and residence search in the Sackville area.

On October 23rd, shortly before noon, members of the SCEU observed suspicious activity and stopped a vehicle with two females on Patton Road.

Officers seized a quantity of marijuana. Police continued with the investigation and executed a search warrant at a residence on Jackladder Drive in Middle Sackville and arrested a male youth. There police seized a quantity of marijuana, prescription pills and other drug-related property.

A 17-year-old male from Middle Sackville will be facing drug possession and trafficking charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The two females, both aged 17, are facing drug possession charges and will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.
