Update: Kings County RCMP continue suspicious death investigation, Berwick, N.S.

Kings County RCMP and the Southwest Nova Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate the death of Harley Lawrence, 62, that is deemed suspicious. At approximately 2:10 a.m.

Kings County RCMP and the Southwest Nova Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate the death of Harley Lawrence, 62, that is deemed suspicious.

At approximately 2:10 a.m.

on Wednesday morning, Kings District RCMP and Berwick Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Commercial Street. Upon arrival at scene, RCMP found a man deceased in a bus shelter.

The autopsy was performed earlier today by the Medical Examiner’s Office. The Medical Examiner’s Office is seeking further information and the matter is still under investigation. The investigation is continuing and RCMP are asking anyone with information about this crime to contact Kings District RCMP at (902) 765-3317.

The RCMP Victim Services Program and Annapolis Valley Mental Health Services will be available for counseling, support, and referrals for residents of Berwick that started this evening at 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Kings Mutual Century Centre and Berwick Fire Hall tomorrow.
