RCMP traffic stop finds drugs, Lower Sackville, N.S.

On Tuesday, April 7th at approximately 9:15 p.m.

, Halifax District RCMP stopped a vehicle with four occupants on Sackville Drive for a traffic violation. The vehicle was driven by a 17-year-old Beaver Bank male with three passengers, one male and two females in their teens from the Sackville area. During the preliminary investigation the officer detected a strong odour of marijuana coming from inside the car resulting in a search of the vehicle. RCMP found quantities of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The driver and a 17-year-old male passenger were arrested and taken into police custody without incident. Both youths are facing drug charges of Possession and Trafficking. They were released from police custody on a Promise to Appear with conditions and are scheduled to appear in Halifax Youth Court on May 7th, 2015.
