RCMP urge extra caution during this weather event, Halifax, N.S.

RCMP are advising the public to use caution when outside today.

Nova Scotia RCMP are receiving reports of people being injured by blowing debris or fallen tree branches.

People are encouraged to use extra caution when outside or travelling on the roadways.

Police are also advising the public to stay away from power lines that have been knocked down by the storm. At no time, should a person go near or attempt to touch such a line. It is best to call and report a downed power/communications line. The line may still be active or ‘hot’ and a risk to public safety.
