RCMP release the name of the fatal motor vehicle crash victim.

Skilar Burneau, 21, from Halifax died as a result of his injuries in the motor vehicle collision yesterday.

Last evening, at 8:03 p.m. , RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision east of Exit 18 on Highway 107 near Lake Echo. Two cars collided head on which resulted in one of the vehicles becoming engulfed in flames. A male passenger, in his 20s, died at the scene. The female driver of the car was treated by EHS for minor injuries. The male driver of the second vehicle was not seriously injured. A RCMP Traffic Analyst and the Medical Examiner’s Office were called in to assist investigators.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
