Monday, July 7, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Springfield Beach on Springfield Lake in Lower Sackville is closed to swimming due to high bacteria levels.

Monday, July 7, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Springfield Beach on Springfield Lake in Lower Sackville is closed to swimming due to high bacteria levels.

Employees regularly test the water quality at its supervised municipal beaches and recent test results indicate that bacteria levels at Springfield Beach exceed Health Canada swimming guidelines. The municipality will advise residents when the beach reopens.
