Despite a late night and long drive home on Friday evening (1am – that’s late for me!) I was up and out the door yesterday so that I could meet the Team Myles group at 810am. The Adidas rep was delivering our sneakers!! I needed new sneakers pretty badly but I was holding off for this. I’ll show you pics and let you know what I think once I’ve had a chance to test them out.
Holly was nice enough to drive me over to Hali since I was still pretty tired. On the way back out we stopped and loaded up on food, last minute paint supplies and got a little breakkie. Tim Horton’s Blueberry Bagel toasted with Light Strawberry Cream Cheese. I haven’t had one of these in forever, mmm! (Sorry this pic was taken with my Blackberry and isn’t the greatest.)
Hubby and Dean were just finishing up the ceiling when we got back. I was so pleased to see that you no longer see ugly streaks when you look up. 🙂 By 10am the four of us were in prime painting mode!
And steadily worked until we broke for lunch. Since all our furniture is covered or away in another room our only option was to have a picnic. LOL 🙂
I made wraps – egg & cheese for me, smoked meat for everyone else. I quickly microwaved an egg ( I know, ewww!) and then wrapped it up in a whole wheat tortilla with shredded cheddar, spinach & tomato. Hit.The.Spot!
With side of hummus – My second batch was a TOTAL FAIL – was way too liquidy and garlicky. 🙁
Delicious fruit tray. We managed to polish most of it off.
For Supper we went with easy and had a couple of pizzas delivered. And XL Hawaiian and a Medium Veggie. I also indulged in a small drink – 1/2 Smirnoff Ice Raspberry mixed with Diet Sprite. Initially I was going to have a bottle of the Smirnoff but the sweetness of it was a complete turn off, so I mixed it with pop. Was nice to have a fun, fizzy drink to sip on! 🙂
See, back into full Veg-Head mode as promised!
We worked steady until a little after 9pm. That’s major APs too! According to my tracker, 8 hours of low intensity work was 23 points. I chose low intensity to err on the safe side but near the end I was hot and sweaty.
I was exhausted. We managed to get 3 coats of primer done plus the first coat of Birchwood. It looks amazing guys!! I think we still have a bit of touching up to do – more cutting in around the ceiling and possibly another coat but over all I couldn’t be happier with the end result.
I’m blogging from bed right now or else I would go take a picture. But I’ll include some in tonight’s post for sure. I must get coffee soon. Plans for today include finishing up the painting, cleaning up (oh dear….) and getting in a run later this evening. I think a yoga session is much needed as well.
And, of course catching up with all of you. I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve read any of your blogs. 🙁
Hope you’re all having a fab weekend! xoxo
