At 11:38 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to the area of 5381 Spring Garden Road for a robbery. 

The 5 male victims stated they were approached by six males who demanded their wallets and phones. They suspects then began assaulting three of the victims by punching and kicking them. A couple of motorists stopped to assist the victims which caused the suspects to flee on foot. Patrol officers assisted by a K9 unit searched the area and  located  several parties fitting the descriptions of the suspects. Three of the suspects remain in custody on unrelated criminal matters. The victim who were assaulted were treated for minor injuries and released. The file is still under investigation.
