Three Pirates Every Girl Should Meet

Pirate romance…a great expanse of ocean, the rustle of petticoats and a tall, arrogant and oh so attractive man…is there any wonder why we willingly spend several lazy hours dreaming of plunder, romance and adventure on the high seas?

There is an abundance of pirate romances available to readers. However, I’ve chosen three of my favourites due to the story line, setting and, most importantly, the pirate. Every girl needs a good fantasy and these pirates are sure to make you wish you were on the high seas.

On Friday night, members of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club, comprised largely of firefighters, led a motorcycle ride to honour the firefighters who died in the 9/11 attacks in New York City eight years ago. The first annual 9/11 memorial ride, which was open to all riders, started in the parking lot of the Bedford Place Mall (pictured) and travelled through the city.
