At 12:50 PM HRP officers on patrol observed and broke up a disturbance in the 0-100 Block of Brule St in Dartmouth.
During the course of their follow up investigation they determined that a 14 year old female victim had been assaulted and robbed of her cell phone.
The victim was able to identify the two assailants who were known to her. The suspects were subsequently located on Pleasant St. and were arrested without incident. Two females ( 14 & 15 yrs of age) from the Dartmouth area have been charged with robbery and various breaches of court orders. They will be appearing in Halifax Youth Court in the morning. The victim in this matter was treated and released by EHS at the scene and did not suffer serious injury.
At 4:30 PM HRP officers responded to the intersection of Skeena St & Adelaide Ave in Halifax to a reported robbery. Upon arrival they located a 16 year old male who had been robbed of his wallet and cell phone. The victim and his friends stated that they had been approached by two individuals who threatened them physically and demanded the previously mentioned property. The victim relinquished his goods and the two suspects fled the area. The victim and his friends were not harmed. One of the victims friends was able to identify a suspect, further investigation by patrol officers led them to an address on Skeena St where the two suspects were located and taken into custody without incident. A search warrant was executed at the residence of one of the suspects which resulted in the recovery of the victims property.
An adult male (18 yrs) and a juvenile male (17 yrs) from the Halifax area have been charged with robbery and have been held to appear in Halifax Provincial Court and Halifax Youth Court in the morning.
