RCMP and Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal are advising motorists that traffic is flowing normally on the southbound lanes.

At approximately 5:10 p.m. today, Colchester County RCMP and other first responders attended a truck fire on the northbound lane between exits 12 and 13.

The lone occupant and driver of the truck was not injured.

The northbound lanes remain closed at this time however TIR expect to have one northbound lane open to traffic at around midnight. Evacuated people have been allowed to return to their residences and the matter remains under investigation with assistance from partner agencies.
