Lunenburg County District RCMP is continuing to search for the 12-year-old boy who was swimming and went missing in the LaHave River.

Numerous vessels, including those from Coast Guard and local fire departments, and air support from the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) searched throughout the afternoon and evening and have been called in for the night.

The RCMP will continue shore patrols by members throughout the night and a continued, coordinated search will resume at first light on Monday morning.
