Let’s go back to drugstore range today with up&up, Target’s home brand.
I grabbed this Complexion brush set a while ago from Target website. I definitely eye that big fluffy blush brush, but love the setting brush the most. The foundation and concealer brushes are nice extras. All full sized, if you are wondering.
The bristles are quite dense and soft, not scratchy, and the handles are lightweight. Good quality compared to other drugstore brands.
The angled blush brush feels nice on the face but is a little too dense for blush application for me. I use it for setting powders or to blend out bronzers in larger areas of the face (forehead, jawline).
The foundation brush does not get much use, just because of all the flat top kabuki brushes that I prefer for my liquid foundations.
I intend to use it to apply face masks but have not actually tried that.
The concealer brush could be a bit softer for the spots I need to conceal, but the size and the pointed tip are just right. I need to figure out other uses for it so that it does not get forgotten in the stash.
And then the setting brush, my favoirte, but not for its intended use once again 🙂
I prefer a larger and looser brush (like the blush brush above) for setting powders but this setting brush is perfect to blend out nose and cheek contour. It is gentle and small enough for precise blending work.
Here’s the fluffiness of the brush heads. Told you they are quite dense. You can tell I have fun with this brush set 🙂
The set is $11.99 at Target US. Can’t complain about that price tag but wish I could just get more brushes from a store around here somewhere.
